Sara Fishel

PT, Therapy Manager

Sara Fishel graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Sports Science Pre-PT in 2014. She worked as a physical therapy technician at an outpatient clinic, Kethley Physical Therapy in Dripping Springs, Texas for 2 years.

She graduated from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas in 2018 where she has lived for the last 5 years.

She loves exercising, especially running long distance outdoors. She's run five half-marathon races and would eventually love to run a full marathon. She also loves hiking all of the greenbelts that Austin has to offer, and spending time with her cat Alan. She also enjoys travelling to cities she's never been to. 


Alex McDuffie


Alex is from Baton Rouge, LA. He went to LSU for his undergraduate degree, and the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida for PT school.

He chose to become a therapist because he wanted to make a difference in people's lives through movement-based medicine. He had a really good experience as a patient in physical therapy when he suffered an injury.

He likes to spend time with his wife and two dogs getting outdoors as much as possible. He enjoys hiking, trail running, rock climbing and cooking.

Chris Winkley


Chris Winkley has been practicing physical therapy for 12 years and loves to work will all types of patients, from one to 100 years old. After completing his Masters degree in PT from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, he decided to move back home to Austin, Texas where he grew up.

His favorite past time activities include; hiking, cycling, surfing (when he can) and watching sports.

Michelle Klontz


Michelle Klontz attended undergraduate at the University of South Carolina where she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Psychology. After undergrad, she worked as a physical therapy aide for 2.5 years in Washington, DC in an outpatient orthopedic clinic and an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.

She then went on to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in August 2019. 

Outside of work, she loves handing out with her friends, trying new restaurants, listening to live music and going kayaking on Lady Bird Lake. To stay active, she enjoys going to Orangetheory Fitness, hiking, and running outside on the lake or shaded trails. 

Rose Barrera


Rose Barrera graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2007 with a Master's in Physical Therapy. She has spent the majority of her physical therapy career working with the geriatric population and patients with neurological disorders in the inpatient rehab and home health settings.

Recently, Rose has acquired certifications including Selective Functional Movement Systems, Functional Range Conditioning, and Stick Mobility. Rose is passionate about movement optimization and joint longevity.

As a mom of two young kids, she enjoys any activity outside (as long as it's not 105 degrees!) Some of their favorite activities include bike riding, swimming, hiking, going for a run, or just enjoying Austin's many parks!

Deanna Gonzalez


Deanna Gonzalez attended undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Kinesiology and Applied Learning and Development. She attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock for OT school.

She has spent the majority of her career in outpatient hand therapy clinics while serving in the United States Navy as an OT. Currently, Deanna serves as a faculty member in the OT assistant program at Austin Community College where she teaches structure and function, OT interventions, and management courses. She is also a certified hand therapist and is currently working on her certificate of competency in vestibular rehabilitation. 

In her free time she likes to hang out with her family, read, and watch movies.

Stephanie Walling


Stephanie Walling graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's in Business Management. She then continued her education at Austin Community College for her Associates of Applied Science with a certification to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She specializes in geriatrics in both the home health setting and in out-patient clinics. 

She loves to hand out with her teenage son and three dogs when she's not working. She has an English Bulldog, cocker spaniel, and German Shepard rescue. She loves to take them and her son to different parks around Austin for hikes and swimming. She also loves spooky movies with a big bucket of popcorn.

Katie Saltzer


Katie graduated in May 2014 from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in psychology. She then graduated from LSU Health New Orleans in May of 2017 where she received her doctorate in physical therapy. 

Since then, she has practiced as a licensed physical therapist in the acute, inpatient, and outpatient setting.

When she's not at work, she loves listening to live music and dancing with her husband, family, or friends. If it's somewhere outside on a beautiful day, even better! She grew up dancing at a studio that was full of loving and supportive people. Dance provided her with a fun activity that relieved stress, and a community of people who encouraged her to have fun and be herself.

Hayden Morrison


Hayden was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. He recieved his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the Univerity of Kansas, then went on to recieve his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Services.


He also knew he wanted to do something that would help people. He loves being around patients and helping them become the best possible versions of themselves.


He loves spending time with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys working out and playing sports in his free time, as well as spending time on the lake.

Bre'anna Wilson


Bre'anna is a licensed and registered occupational therapist who is originally from Columbus, TX. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Master's in Occupational Therapy. 


Bre'anna discovered occupational therapy at a young age and was inspired by the professions use of activities as form of therapy with the primary goal of improving a person's quality of life and ability to engage in meaningful activities regardless of age, background, or ailment. She has spent the majority of her occupational therapy career working with the adult and geriatric population in the home health setting. 




Outside of work, Bre'anna enjoys exploring nature, painting, watching movies, spending time with her family, and going down "rabbit holes" on the Internet. 

Mary Davis


Mary Davis was born in Austin, but grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. While playing soccer as a teen Mary experienced a season ending knee injury that landed her in physical therapy as a patient. It was here that she was introduced to physical therapy and in the coming year she would see another aspect of PT that further sparked her interests in becoming a therapist. Mary’s passion for physical therapy stems from her own experience as a patient, but also from her experience with her grandfather after his stroke.


After seeing how Physical Therapy changed her life and helped to change his, she knew this is what she wanted to do. Mary is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and has been in this field for 13 years. For fun Mary enjoys fitness and health, serving at her church, studying and teaching nutrition, and spending time with family and friends on the Texas Coast. 

Emily Mendez


Emily is from Spring, TX, a suburb just north of Houston, and got certified as a PTA at Lone Star College where she graduated with her Associates of Applied Sciences.


Her one and only experience with PT happened when she was on a high school JROTC field trip to Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio. She was blown away by the technology and methods they used to rehab veterans of the War in Afghanistan and thought, “This, this is what I want to do with my life.”


Her life took many turns and detours but she has finally found my place with NFT where she has the opportunity to work with one of her favorite populations: the geriatric population!


She's a big foodie so loves to try new cuisines and restaurants when she's in a different place. Because of her lifelong love of food, she also regularly enjoys working out and exploring all different types of fitness disciplines.If she's not eating, or getting her heart rate elevated, she's relaxing at home with her boyfriend Jorge, two cats, Tripod and Orange, and Mexican Black Kingsnake, Mr. Snek.  


Desiree Vining


Desiree grew up in a little east Texas town called White Oak. After high school she made her way down to Blinn College in College Station Texas. She finished all her courses and got the privilege of even taking some pre therapy courses on A&M's campus. She was then accepted into the PTA program at Weatherford College where she officially graduated. Since she has been in the field, she's found that she loves working with the geriatric population.


When she's not working, she loves going to the gym, taking her dog for walks, being out on the lake and traveling.
