Meet Our Staff
PT, Therapy Manager
Sara Fishel graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Sports Science Pre-PT in 2014. She worked as a physical therapy technician at an outpatient clinic, Kethley Physical Therapy in Dripping Springs, Texas for 2 years.
She graduated from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas in 2018 where she has lived for the last 5 years.
She loves exercising, especially running long distance outdoors. She's run five half-marathon races and would eventually love to run a full marathon. She also loves hiking all of the greenbelts that Austin has to offer, and spending time with her cat Alan. She also enjoys travelling to cities she's never been to.
Oksana Austin is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, specializing in geriatric rehabilitation. She graduated from Austin Community College PTA program, where she was a recipient of St. David’s Neal Kocurek scholarship and T-STEM scholarship.
Oksana came to Austin from Russia 20 years ago as a graduate student. She holds a Master’s Degree in Languages and Teaching from the University of Texas at Austin.
Outside of work, Oksana enjoys being a mom of an 11-year-old daughter, writing poetry, and dancing the Argentinian tango.
Michelle Klontz attended undergraduate at the University of South Carolina where she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Psychology. After undergrad, she worked as a physical therapy aide for 2.5 years in Washington, DC in an outpatient orthopedic clinic and an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
She then went on to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in August 2019.
Outside of work, she loves handing out with her friends, trying new restaurants, listening to live music and going kayaking on Lady Bird Lake. To stay active, she enjoys going to Orangetheory Fitness, hiking, and running outside on the lake or shaded trails.
Rose Barrera graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2007 with a Master's in Physical Therapy. She has spent the majority of her physical therapy career working with the geriatric population and patients with neurological disorders in the inpatient rehab and home health settings.
Recently, Rose has acquired certifications including Selective Functional Movement Systems, Functional Range Conditioning, and Stick Mobility. Rose is passionate about movement optimization and joint longevity.
As a mom of two young kids, she enjoys any activity outside (as long as it's not 105 degrees!) Some of their favorite activities include bike riding, swimming, hiking, going for a run, or just enjoying Austin's many parks!
Deanna Gonzalez attended undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Kinesiology and Applied Learning and Development. She attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock for OT school.
She has spent the majority of her career in outpatient hand therapy clinics while serving in the United States Navy as an OT. Currently, Deanna serves as a faculty member in the OT assistant program at Austin Community College where she teaches structure and function, OT interventions, and management courses. She is also a certified hand therapist and is currently working on her certificate of competency in vestibular rehabilitation.
In her free time she likes to hang out with her family, read, and watch movies.
Chris Winkley, PT
Chris Winkley has been practicing physical therapy for 12 years and loves to work will all types of patients, from one to 100 years old. After completing his Masters degree in PT from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, he decided to move back home to Austin, Texas where he grew up.
His favorite past time activities include; hiking, cycling, surfing (when he can) and watching sports.
Stephanie Walling, PTA
Stephanie Walling graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's in Business Management. She then continued her education at Austin Community College for her Associates of Applied Science with a certification to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She specializes in geriatrics in both the home health setting and in out-patient clinics.
She loves to hand out with her teenage son and three dogs when she's not working. She has an English Bulldog, cocker spaniel, and German Shepard rescue. She loves to take them and her son to different parks around Austin for hikes and swimming. She also loves spooky movies with a big bucket of popcorn.
Katie Saltzer, PT, DPT
Katie graduated in May 2014 from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in psychology. She then graduated from LSU Health New Orleans in May of 2017 where she received her doctorate in physical therapy.
Since then, she has practiced as a licensed physical therapist in the acute, inpatient, and outpatient setting.
When she's not at work, she loves listening to live music and dancing with her husband, family, or friends. If it's somewhere outside on a beautiful day, even better! She grew up dancing at a studio that was full of loving and supportive people. Dance provided her with a fun activity that relieved stress, and a community of people who encouraged her to have fun and be herself.
